Original Soundtracks 1
by Passengers
Operating under a pseudonym to mask their massive mainstream identity, U2 collaborated extensively with producer Brian Eno to craft an entirely experimental, deeply atmospheric ambient pop record. Designed conceptually as a collection of soundtracks for imaginary films, the remarkably lush, heavily electronic compositions completely abandon traditional stadium rock structures. Yielding the Pavarotti-assisted hit 'Miss Sarajevo', the highly ambitious side project remains a fascinating, highly polarizing detour in their discography.
