Resurrecting his most famous moniker, Richie Hawtin delivered an intensely paranoid and skeletal interpretation of acid techno. Stripped of dancefloor utility, the compositions heavily utilize unsettling vocal fragments and icy, reverberating percussion to induce a state of deep psychological tension.
