Kicking Cairns

Recorded over a ten-month period in rural settings, the project refines a blend of intimate vocal arrangements and non-linear instrumental structures. The recordings prioritize natural acoustic resonance and delicate fingerpicked patterns that evoke the physical sensation of the Pacific Northwest wilderness. It conceptually investigate themes of environmental conservation and personal legacy through a sophisticated and structurally ambitious folk lens.
