A conceptual masterstroke of the Movida Madrile帽a, this split-themed release divides its focus between the dry, percussive rhythms of the 'desert' and the melodic, expansive sounds of the 'sea'. The Auser贸n brothers successfully infused British post-punk angularity with distinctly Mediterranean and Latin pop sensibilities. It marked a turning point in Spanish rock, moving the scene toward a more mature, globally aware sonic palette.
