Raja Kirik’s 'Phantasmagoria of Jathilan' reinterprets the traditional Javanese trance dance of Jathilan as a visceral and bellicose form of industrial music. The duo employs syncopated electronic rhythms, distorted textures, and metallic percussion from homemade instruments to channel the ritual's historical context as an expression of resistance against colonial oppression.
