Jardin au fou

Working with producers Peter Baumann and Conny Plank, the Cluster co-founder expanded his intimate solo sound by incorporating cello and acoustic piano. The entirely instrumental record replaces the cold, cosmic dread of classic Berlin School electronics with warm, remarkably playful, and whimsically pastoral soundscapes. It is highly regarded as a profoundly gentle, pioneering masterpiece of early European ambient music.
