Antiphonals
by Sarah Davachi
Recorded heavily utilizing a Mellotron and electric organ alongside traditional acoustic instrumentation like the harpsichord and violin, the Canadian composer crafted a deeply intimate exploration of drone and minimalism. The project was primarily recorded in her Los Angeles home studio, allowing for an incredibly close, textural recording style. It functions as a gorgeous, incredibly peaceful meditation on sacred space and acoustic resonance.
