Representing the absolute genesis of the Brazilian extreme metal explosion, this split LP introduced two vital bands from the Belo Horizonte underground. Sepultura's side, 'Bestial Devastation', offers a shockingly primitive, violently fast blend of early death and black metal influenced heavily by Hellhammer and Venom. Despite the incredibly muddy production quality, the raw ferocity of the teenage musicians profoundly impacted the global trajectory of extreme metal.
