Originally beginning as a gastropod-themed bedroom project, the British extreme metal duo upgraded to a full band lineup for their highly anticipated fourth album. The record expertly fuses ferocious, technically dizzying death metal with soaring, almost operatic progressive clean vocals and bizarre, Lovecraftian slug lore. It was widely championed as an incredibly fun, masterfully executed breath of fresh air in the modern technical death metal scene.
