Arriving four years after the massive crossover success of his sophomore effort, Steve Lacy's third studio album is a deeply personal, self-produced exploration of romantic dysfunction and twenty-something existentialism. Recorded partly in Paris during a period of intentional sobriety, the collection balances his signature sun-drenched guitar playing with expansive synthesizer textures and prominent guest appearances from SZA and Erykah Badu.
