Collaborating closely with percussionist Marc Anderson, the American guitarist delivered an intensely rhythmic and highly unconventional fusion record. Characterized by the pristine acoustic resonance typical of the ECM label, the album heavily utilizes tribal percussion and layered acoustic guitars to generate a ritualistic, world-music-inspired soundscape.
