Afro Jazz du Mali

A legendary orchestra from Mali, Super Biton de Ségou was one of the great state-sponsored bands of West Africa. This collection showcases their unique and powerful sound, a fusion of traditional Bambara melodies and rhythms with the sounds of Cuban music, American funk, and psychedelic rock. The result is a hypnotic, funky, and utterly unique brand of Afro-jazz.
