On his sole album as a leader, pianist Ten贸rio Jr. augments his jazz trio with a brass section to explore high-tempo samba-jazz instrumentals. The tracking merges the rapid, aggressive phrasing of American hard bop with the syncopated percussive foundation of Brazilian bossa nova.
