Recorded at the Maharishi International University in Iowa, this project was primarily spearheaded by Mike Love and Al Jardine during a period of intense internal band strife. The resulting output eschews the group's progressive leanings for safe, nostalgic soft rock arrangements that largely failed to resonate critically or commercially.
