Released during the absolute zenith of the British intelligent dance music explosion, the trio delivered a remarkably sophisticated, deeply melodic masterpiece. The sprawling compositions weave complex, highly syncopated breakbeats together with lush ambient synthesizer textures and subtle, Middle Eastern-inspired melodic scales. Shortly after this landmark release, founding members Ed Handley and Andy Turner departed to focus entirely on their equally influential project, Plaid.
