Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Fire Aim Ready' is the sixth studio album by Chicago punk band The Effigies, formed in 1980, and their first with lead vocalist Geoff Sabin, who succeeded founding singer John Kezdy after his death in a bicycle accident in 2023. Recorded at Million Yen Studios in Chicago and produced by guitarist Andy Gerber, the 12 tracks address political manipulation, institutional corruption and surveillance. It closes with 'Skin Deep', a cover of the Stranglers, an early influence on the band.
