The third album from the experimental side-project of Paul McCartney and producer Youth marks the duo's first release to feature prominent, recognized vocal performances rather than ambient instrumental soundscapes. Recorded spontaneously without any pre-written songs, the tracks veer wildly from heavy blues-rock stompers to delicate, pastoral acoustic psychedelia. It offered a remarkably loose, invigorated counterpoint to McCartney's traditional solo releases.
