This is the second full-length album from the Philadelphia-based instrumental collective. An ambitious double LP, it expands on their unique fusion of slowcore, chamber folk, and post-rock, incorporating spoken word passages from classic literature. The record uses a sprawling ensemble of strings, horns, and guitars to create vast, cinematic soundscapes that are both melancholic and ultimately triumphant.
