Prehistoric Sounds
by The Saints
Fusing their aggressive punk foundations with a prominent Stax-style horn section, 'Prehistoric Sounds' alienated much of the band's original fan base while pointing toward sophisticated post-punk frontiers. The ambitious stylistic departure resulted in Chris Bailey and Ed Kuepper parting ways shortly after the album's release.
