Kristian Matsson returns to a slightly more stripped-back, acoustic-driven approach following the full-band arrangements of his previous album. Recorded almost entirely in his Brooklyn apartment, the record is characterized by his signature intricate fingerpicking and soaring, poetic vocal melodies regarding travel and emotional exhaustion. It is an incredibly intimate, warm portrait of his isolated creative process.
