Birds of Paradise

Having spent years writing and sitting on the material, New Orleans-based singer-songwriter Thomas Dollbaum presents his outstanding sophomore album, 'Birds of Paradise'. Released via Dear Life Records, the countryish rock songs are set in the seedier, humid corners of his native Florida, sung in a comforting conversational drawl. The album, tracked in Mississippi with producer Clay Jones, features a stellar ad-hoc backing band that includes MJ Lenderman on drums and backup harmonies, delivering some of the most authentic, backyard-ready indie rock of the year.
