Conceived as an immersive soundmap of the Ba River in Beijing, 'Bahe《坝河》' is an electroacoustic full-length album from American producer thruoutin. The recordings seamlessly weave local Beijing environmental field recordings with delicate, melancholic acoustic pipa performance and pulsing, modular ambient synth tones. It captures a peaceful yet complex dialogue between urban development and the enduring natural watercourses of the Chinese capital.
