Released as part of John Zorn's Composer Series, Kayo Dot mastermind Toby Driver composed these prolonged, tension-heavy pieces specifically to be difficult to perform. The four compositions utilize unorthodox instrumentation—including bells, gongs, and extensive vocal choirs—to generate terrifying, drone-like atmospheres divorced from traditional metal structures.
