Created as an enigmatic side project by Modest Mouse frontman Isaac Brock, the band enlisted members of Califone and The Black Heart Procession to flesh out its peculiar mythology. The album leans heavily into jagged, eccentric roots rock, marked by peculiar percussion, banjo, and Brock's signature manic vocal delivery.
