The Chicago deconstructionist quartet pushed their jagged, stuttering brand of noise rock to even more disjointed extremes. Recorded over an intense period in an isolated environment, 'Acre Thrills' heavily subverts traditional blues and rock progressions through cryptic lyricism and Al Johnson's signature gasping vocal delivery.
