Sunlight Echoes

On their second full-length effort, 'Sunlight Echoes', Whitelands expands its sound beyond shoegaze into broader dream-pop and indie rock territories, marked by a greater emphasis on melody, prominent lead vocals, and the integration of soaring string arrangements. The album's production, mixed by Eduardo De La Paz, provides a polished backdrop for lyrical themes of loss, fragmentation, and endurance, which are balanced by an undercurrent of hope. Structurally, the record presents a dual nature, with its first half containing lighter, breezy compositions before transitioning into a heavier and more sonically dense second half.
