Growth
by Wildernesses
The debut album from UK quartet Wildernesses, 'Growth' merges the cinematic scale of post-rock with the hazy textures of shoegaze and the emotional candor of alternative folk. Seven of the album's nine tracks feature vocals from Philip Morris, whose lyrics, informed by his work as a mental health professional, explore themes of memory, escapism, mental health, and desire as modern folk tales. Produced by Joe Clayton, the record balances expansive, layered soundscapes with intimate, minimalist passages, creating a sound that is both atmospheric and deeply personal.
