Congregation
by Witch Fever
The debut album from the Manchester quartet channels their rage into a potent mix of punk, grunge, and doom metal. Lyrically, vocalist Amy Walpole confronts her upbringing in a charismatic church, as well as misogyny and patriarchal structures, delivering her words with snarling intensity over heavy, sludgy riffs. The album was produced by Sam Thredder of the UK grindcore band Slabdragger.
