The fifth studio album from Ripley Johnson's beloved psychedelic rock quartet was composed as a deliberate, peaceful response to global political anxiety and the California wildfires. The record largely abandons their signature aggressive, fuzz-heavy guitar riffing for incredibly warm, highly melodic synthesizer drones and gentle, rolling krautrock grooves. It is widely regarded as a gorgeously soothing, highly hypnotic summer record.
