Mirror Emperor

A deeply unsettling, highly theatrical collaboration uniting the Italian avant-garde metal band Zu with the legendary British neofolk visionary David Tibet. Stripping away their usual distorted bass and drums, Zu provides an incredibly acoustic, highly acoustic chamber-folk backdrop for Tibet's apocalyptic, esoteric poetry. The resulting album is a profoundly terrifying, gorgeously arranged exploration of ancient mythology and impending cosmic doom.
