Alice in Chains

Alice in Chains emerged from the Seattle grunge scene of the late 1980s to become one of the most successful and influential rock bands of their generation. Formed in 1987, the group's dark, heavy sound, rooted in metal and distinguished by the haunting vocal harmonies of Layne Staley and Jerry Cantrell, set them apart. Albums like 'Facelift' and the multi-platinum 'Dirt' established them as major figures. Following a long hiatus and Staley's tragic death, the band reformed in 2005 with vocalist William DuVall, launching a successful new chapter with albums like 'Black Gives Way to Blue' and continuing to tour and record for a global fanbase.
