Ariel Pink

Ariel Pink is an American musician, singer, and songwriter widely regarded as a key figure in the popularization of lo-fi recording and the "hypnagogic pop" and "chillwave" movements of the late 2000s. His work, initially self-released on cassettes, draws heavily from 1960s-80s pop radio, blending catchy melodies with a hazy, tape-saturated aesthetic. His early home-recorded albums, such as "The Doldrums" and "Worn Copy", built a cult following before he gained wider critical acclaim with the more polished, studio-produced album "Before Today". Pink's unique and often eccentric approach to pop songcraft has made him a polarizing but deeply influential figure in independent music.
