Bill Rieflin

A Seattle-native multi-instrumentalist, Bill Rieflin was a versatile and precise musician defined by his adaptability across divergent genres. [1, 7] He first gained prominence providing the powerful, metronomic drumming that anchored industrial acts like Ministry, KMFDM, and Pigface in the 1980s and '90s. [1, 6, 14] His career then evolved through key collaborations, including work with Swans and Nine Inch Nails, before he transitioned to become a touring and recording member for R.E.M. from 2003 until their dissolution. [1, 9, 13] Later, he joined King Crimson, where his role shifted from one of three drummers to their first full-time keyboardist, cementing his legacy as a dynamic and influential musical force.
