Broken Social Scene

Broken Social Scene

Broken Social Scene is a Canadian indie rock collective formed in Toronto in 1999 by co-founders Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning. Renowned for its sprawling, fluid membership that has included anywhere from six to nineteen musicians, the band is a cornerstone of Canada's indie scene. Their sound is a panoramic blend of orchestral pop, experimental rock, and ambient electronics, characterized by layered guitars, horns, and multi-voice harmonies. The group achieved international acclaim with their 2002 album 'You Forgot It in People', released on #Arts & Crafts#, which won a Juno Award and featured contributions from artists like *Feist* and *Emily Haines* of *Metric*.
