Butter Sugar Toast is a Tokyo-based post-hardcore band that emerged from Japan's underground scene. The group, fronted by songwriter *Takujiro Sadae*, is noted for a sound deeply rooted in the 90s Dischord-era, drawing comparisons to bands like *Hoover* and *Shotmaker*. They gained significant attention following their debut show in January 2022 and the subsequent release of their first EP, 'Extended Play I'.
