Chevreuil

Chevreuil

Chevreuil is an experimental French rock duo formed in Nantes in 1998. Comprising guitarist Tony Chauvin and drummer Julien Fernandez, the band is known for its instrumental, technically complex sound that blends math rock's intricate rhythms with the intensity of noise rock. A defining feature of their live performances is Chauvin's unique quadraphonic setup, where his guitar is routed through four separate amplifiers surrounding the drum kit. After releasing several acclaimed albums, including 'Châteauvallon' and 'Capoeira' on labels like #RuminanCe# and #Sickroom Records#, the duo went on a long hiatus. They returned in 2026 with a new album, 'Stadium'.
