Cola

Cola is a Canadian post-punk band formed in Montréal in 2021. The trio consists of vocalist/guitarist Tim Darcy and bassist Ben Stidworthy, both formerly of the acclaimed band *Ought*, alongside drummer Evan Cartwright, known for his work with *U.S. Girls* and *The Weather Station*. The band was announced on the same day *Ought* disbanded, marked by the release of their debut single 'Blank Curtain'. Signed to #Fire Talk Records#, Cola refines the wiry, tense sound of its members' previous projects into a more stripped-down and direct approach. Their debut album, 'Deep in View' (2022), and its follow-up, 'The Gloss' (2024), have been praised for their intricate guitar work, propulsive rhythms, and cerebral lyrics.
