Doppler

Doppler is a French noise rock trio formed in Lyon in 1998, consisting of Xavier-Alexandre Amado, Yoann Brière, and Yann Coste. Known for their intense and technical sound, the band draws from math-rock, post-hardcore, and industrial influences, often compared to acts like *Shellac* and *The Young Gods*. After building a formidable live reputation with hundreds of shows and releasing two key albums, 'Si nihil aliud' and 'Songs to Defy', on labels like #SK Records#, the group went on hiatus in 2010. They reformed in 2020, leading to vinyl reissues and a new album in 2026, reaffirming their status as a cornerstone of France's underground noise scene.
