Einstürzende Neubauten

Einstürzende Neubauten is a pioneering German group formed in West Berlin that has redefined the boundaries of music since 1980. Initially emerging from the 'Geniale Dilletanten' movement, their sound is synonymous with the industrial and experimental genres. Their trademark is the use of custom-built instruments crafted from scrap metal, building tools, and found objects, combined with conventional instruments to create a unique sonic landscape. Early albums like 'Kollaps' were harsh, confrontational walls of noise, while later works such as 'Halber Mensch' and 'Tabula Rasa' saw them evolve toward more structured, though perpetually avant-garde, compositions. The band, led by Blixa Bargeld, has influenced countless artists and remains a vital force in experimental music.
