Johann Sebastian Bach

Johann Sebastian Bach was a German composer and musician of the Baroque period, widely regarded as one of the greatest composers in Western history. While admired in his time as a virtuoso organist and harpsichordist, his compositional genius was not fully recognized until the 19th century. His work is celebrated for its intellectual depth, technical command, and artistic beauty. Bach synthesized and perfected the principal styles of his era, enriching them with his mastery of counterpoint, harmony, and motivic organization. His vast output includes masterpieces in nearly every existing genre of his time, such as the 'Brandenburg Concertos', 'The Well-Tempered Clavier', and the 'Mass in B minor'.
