Los Thuthanaka

This collaborative project unites Aymara-American siblings *Chuquimamani-Condori* (Elysia Crampton) and *Joshua Chuquimia Crampton*. Their work is a profound form of musical world-building, creating an epic collage that intertwines Indigenous Andean musical traditions with experimental rock, deconstructed club music, and sprawling electronic textures. Drawing from their Pakajaqi Aymara heritage, their sound serves as a living archive, addressing themes of decolonization, memory, and sovereignty. Their 2022 self-titled double album is a landmark work, weaving together ronroco, distorted guitar, field recordings, and synthesizers into a singular sonic language that is at once deeply personal, historical, and politically charged.
