Masta Killa

Masta Killa

Born Elgin Turner, Masta Killa was the final member to join the Wu-Tang Clan, developing his craft under the mentorship of GZA. [1, 9] He debuted with a single, closing verse on 1993's "Da Mystery of Chessboxin'," establishing a measured, intellectual presence. [1] His delivery is defined by a calm, deliberate flow that contrasts with the group's more aggressive stylists, often weaving philosophical and martial arts themes into his lyrics. [7, 9] Though the last to release a solo project, his 2004 debut "No Said Date" was acclaimed for its disciplined continuation of the core Wu-Tang sound, cementing his legacy as a consistent and foundational lyricist within the collective.
