Migala

Migala

Migala was an experimental rock band from Madrid, Spain, active from 1995 to 2004. Known for their cinematic and hypnotic soundscapes, they blended post-rock, folk, and traditional Spanish music, with lyrics often in English. The core sextet evolved to include key collaborators like *Nacho Vegas*. Their album 'Arde' (2000), released in the US by #Sub Pop#, earned international critical acclaim for its somber beauty and intricate arrangements. The band toured Europe and the US, opening for acts like *Smog* and *The Magnetic Fields*, and served as a backing band for *Will Oldham*. After disbanding in 2005, members pursued other projects, including *El Hijo* and *Fantasy Bar*.
