Miss Grit

Miss Grit is the musical project of Margaret Sohn, a Korean-American, non-binary artist based in New York. Raised in Michigan, Sohn studied music technology at NYU, where they began crafting a unique sound blending sharp songwriting with experimental electronic textures and searing guitar work. Their music often explores themes of identity, self-doubt, and technology, drawing inspiration from artists like *St. Vincent* and films such as 'Ex Machina'. After self-releasing the EPs 'Talk Talk' and 'Impostor', Miss Grit signed with #Mute Records# for their acclaimed debut album, 'Follow the Cyborg', which uses a cyborg persona to deconstruct societal expectations.
