Pure Wrath

Pure Wrath is the atmospheric black metal project of Indonesian multi-instrumentalist Januaryo Hardy, also known as Ryo. Formed in 2014, the project is known for its blend of aggressive black metal with lush, melodic, and ambient soundscapes. Initially a solo studio endeavor, Pure Wrath has evolved to include a full lineup for live performances. The project gained significant international attention with albums like 'Sempiternal Wisdom' and 'Hymn to the Woeful Hearts'. The latter, released by #Debemur Morti Productions#, explores the tragic history of the 1965 Indonesian genocide, cementing Pure Wrath's reputation for creating deeply emotional and thematically heavy music that is both brutal and sorrowfully beautiful.
