Sleater-Kinney

Sleater-Kinney

Sleater-Kinney is an acclaimed American rock band that formed in Olympia, Washington, in 1994. Emerging from the riot grrrl movement, the core lineup consisted of Corin Tucker (vocals, guitar), Carrie Brownstein (guitar, vocals), and longtime drummer Janet Weiss. Known for their intricate guitar interplay, lack of a bass player, and politically charged lyrics, they became one of the most significant bands in indie rock. After releasing a string of highly praised albums on labels like #Kill Rock Stars# and #Sub Pop#, including 'Dig Me Out' and 'The Woods', the band went on hiatus in 2006. They reunited in 2014, continuing to release vital music like 'No Cities to Love' and 'Little Rope'.
