Speedy J

Speedy J, born Jochem Paap, is a pioneering Dutch techno producer and DJ from Rotterdam, renowned for his dynamic and evolving sound. He gained initial fame with the 1992 techno anthem 'Pullover'. His debut album, 'Ginger', was a key release in #Warp# Records' influential 'Artificial Intelligence' series, establishing him in the IDM and electronic listening music scene. Over his career, Paap has moved from minimal techno to more experimental, industrial, and ambient textures on albums like 'Public Energy No. 1' and 'A Shocking Hobby' for the #NovaMute# label. He also founded the #Electric Deluxe# label, a platform for his own work and other forward-thinking artists.
