Street Sects

Street Sects is an American experimental duo formed in Austin, Texas. Comprised of vocalist Leo Ashline and multi-instrumentalist Shaun Ringsmuth, the band creates an extremely abrasive and cathartic sound by fusing industrial rhythms, harsh noise, punk energy, and sample-based electronics. Their music explores harrowing themes of addiction, mental illness, and nihilism, delivered through Ashline's pained, screamed vocals and Ringsmuth's dense, frantic soundscapes. After a series of EPs, they released their debut album 'End Position' in 2016 on #The Flenser#, cementing their reputation for creating confrontational and uncompromising art.
