The Field

The Field is the principal recording moniker of Swedish electronic musician Axel Willner. Based in Stockholm and Berlin, he is renowned for a distinctive style of minimal and ambient techno that involves looping and layering micro-samples from a diverse range of pop and rock songs. Willner's breakthrough came with his 2007 debut album, 'From Here We Go Sublime', released on the influential German label #Kompakt#. The album received widespread critical acclaim for its hypnotic and euphoric soundscapes, which skillfully blended pop sensibilities with atmospheric techno, establishing him as a significant and innovative voice in electronic music.
