The Shits

The Shits are a six-piece band from Leeds, England, dedicated to the “execution of psychedelic rock” via a brutal fusion of garage punk, post-punk, and doom metal. Emerging as a response to the perceived castration of modern rock, the group debuted with their 2020 album 'Punishment' on #Hominid Sounds#. After signing to the prestigious #Rocket Recordings#, they joined a roster including acts like *Gnod* and *Sex Swing*. Their sound draws from a lineage connecting *The Stooges* and *Brainbombs*, characterized by what has been called “Stygian riffology”—a bludgeoning, hypnotic repetition of primal, corrosive riffs designed to exhaust the listener.
